Life Out Loud Films, LLC is committed to making quality films with recognizable talent at a lower cost in order to provide positive family programming while delivering a great return to investors and distributors. Our company is not here to make just one film, but to continue to produce stories that inspire audiences while also inspiring the communities in which we shoot.

Life Out Loud Films, LLC creates films of superb quality from conception through production, for a much lower budget than a typical film by leveraging community and industry resources. Through our unique approach of enrolling the community and working within our established network of talented and passionate professionals, we retain the advantages of small independent films, and provide investors a higher potential return.

Life Out Loud Films strives to create inspirational and family films that present strong characters and explore subject matter with depth. An emphasis is place on exceptionally strong female roles. The process begins with positive and passionate leadership which trickles down to our high quality actors and crew creating an encouraging, creative and collaborative environment which is reflected in the final product. It is also important for the company to shoot on high quality cameras and attach recognizable talent to best position the final project.

Many producers begin with a script and then search for the smartest location. Lake Effects is different; as the idea was inspired by the location first and the script was then build from what already existed.

Producer

Sara Elizabeth Timmins has been producing for over a decade. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Xavier University she began her career in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sara Line produced the filmn Tattered Angel wth Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) which won numerous awards at festivals such as the New Strand Film Festival, Houston World Fest and Appalachian Film Festival. She then worked as Production Manager for Skin Complex with Wolfgang Bodison (A Few Good Men) which aired as a Made for TV movie on ABC and produced a TV spot starring Blessed Union of Souls for Enjoy the Arts. After working on several TV commercials and PSA's locally she decided to move to Los Ångeles to puresu her career.

Within days of relocating, Sara was hired as Production Manager on the feature film, Saved by the Rules and so proved her abilities she was quickly promoted to Producer. For years she produced independently on several feature and short films (including Age Inappropriate; Saved by the Rules; Survival of the Fittest etc.)

Since Sara has produced music videos, film trailers, Rosabella, an orginal ballet for film for the John E. Profant Foundation for the Arts and the short film Stockholm. Before Lake Effects, she worked with actors such as Aida Turturro, Lynda Carter, Tracy Reiner, Wolfgang Bodison, Kirk Baltz, Susan Floyd, Barry Papick, James Kiberd and Sandra Seacat.

Director

Michael J. McKay is the writer and director of Stockholm, a feature comprised of eight short films. He has over 12 years of directing experience including directing thousands of productions as owner and head writer for Killer Entertainment. With Killer, he has written or cowritten 15 plays, each of which he has directed and produced to rave reviews, and customized countless events. He guest-starred on Jag with Catherine Bell and David James Elliott; on Alias, with Jennifer Garner ; on Nickelodon's Drake and Josh and has appeared over 100 times as a member of the Port Charles Police Force, on General Hospital and Port Charles.

A lover and student of languages, Mke earned a degree in English frm the University of Notre Dame, speaks fluent German and Russian, some Spanish, French, and Arabic, and currently studies dialects in a master class with Robert Easton.

As a U.S. Army Calvary Officer stationed in Germany, he was responsible for $250 million of equipment. He has scheduled and budgeted independent films, ranging from Micro-Budget to multi-million dollar projects. He is past President of the Fulelrton Kiwanis Club, Lieutenant Governor for Kiewanis Division 30, Past President of the Anaheim Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau Breakfast Club, and a father of three. In addition to founding Killer Entertainment, he is a founding member of Film Corps, an independent film company, and Stockholm Productions.

Writer

Scott Winters- The Lake Effects Production team tragically lost Scott Winters, the film's writer recently through cancer. Scott was an actor and a screenwriter based in Providence, RI. He authored four screenplays including Ka-Boom! and Long Shot, both posted on Kevin Spacey's Triggerstreet.com

Before his untimely death, Scott sent this message to the fans of Lake Effects which was posted to facebook, his words give testimony to the kind of amazing individual he was.

" A message from Writer Scott Winters to all of our Lake Effects fans: He is joining hands with Sara Elizabeth to form one big embrace that he wants to wrap around all of Smith Mountain Lake to give all of the amazing people there a gigantic hug from him."

Scott Winters 12/05/59 – 07/12/11 Film and Television Actor, Screenwriter, Husband and Father. Scott fought courageous battle with Lynch Syndrome. He was a long time resident of Manhattan NY, having moved to Providence, Rhode Island nine years ago. Scott was an accomplished film and television actor, appearing in such films as Mystic River, directed by Clint Eastwood, Tell Tale Heart with Josh Lucas, Edge of Darkness with Mel Gibson, and numerous commercials and soap opera programs and television dramas. Recently, Scott and his Production Company, Life Out Loud, sold one of Scott’s screenplays that he had been working on since his terminal cancer diagnosis.

Director of Photography

Matthew Boyd, is a Connecticut-born D.P. credited with over ten feature films as well as thirty short films, ad a multitude of commercials & music videos. A majority of those works have won numerous awards and played in festivals world-wide.Boyd graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2002. Two months after graduation, he was selected to shoot his first feature, Robbery 101 for Rafael Cabrera in Miami. Over the next few years he worked as a 1st AC, grip, gaffer and camera operator between his own projects under such cinematographers as Hiro Narita, ASC, and Rodney Taylor, ASC.

It wasn't long before Boyd found himself lensing the 35mm feature Rockin' Meera (Parampal Gill) Breaking News, now entitled Yeh Mera India and the fairytale/horror feature, Spike (Robert Beaucage) which premiered at the Edinburgh film festival in the summer of 2008.

More recently, Boyd has worked on various projects including, Beautiful Something (Joseph Graham) Love Song (Lucy Watson), Gun, Head, Choice (Vahram Hakobyan), Covet (Ben Gilbert), Astra (Jamie Caufield) and the martial arts Parkour action piece Black Dragon (Colin Trevorrow).
